Peer Review and Editorial Process

The Journal is committed to the lawful, fair, and transparent processing of personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2019 (Kenya). Personal data provided by authors, reviewers, and editors, including names, email addresses, and institutional affiliations, will be collected and processed solely for legitimate academic and publishing purposes, including manuscript submission, peer review, editorial communication, publication, and indexing.
Processing of personal data is based on applicable lawful grounds, including the performance of a task carried out in the public interest (academic publishing), legitimate interests of the Journal, and, where applicable, consent.
The Journal implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Personal data may be shared with third parties where necessary for the publication process (such as indexing services, publishing platforms, and peer review systems) or where required by law, and always under appropriate safeguards.
Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including academic, legal, and archival requirements.
Individuals have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their personal data, subject to applicable legal and ethical obligations.
